Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha, also popularly known as Gugu - is a British stage and film actress. Her fame was boosted by her role in BBC's 'Doctor Who' British science-fiction television show. Gugu became famous for her character Tish Jones. Tish Jones was the character's sister. The audience loved her cheerful spontaneity and there was no turning back for Gugu to have a promising acting career ahead! Chelsea Joy Handler was born on February 25 1975 located in Livingston, New Jersey. She was born the youngest of three children in a big family. Handler was the child of a salesman and housewife. Her mother was an German Immigrant, who immigrated to the United States in 1958. Handler was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989 and died after battling cancer for ten years. Her father is Jewish as was her mother. She raised up Reform Judaism. Handler grew up in a good neighborhood and was a very happy child. As a teenager She relocated from the city of Los Angeles, California to explore a career in acting. Handler was a professional actress to support her. Handler decided to focus on stand-up comedy at the age of 21 following the realization of the power of storytelling. Handler began her stand-up career joining the female-only Oxygen cast, which featured in a tv show called Girls Behaving BADLY. The series was famous for its secret camera and the practical joke. The show was on the air from 2002 until 2005. The handler began to appear on various other programs, including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler also began working as a corresponded for The Tonight Show. The biggest break for Handler came in 2006, when she was able to host her own show on E! called The Chelsea Handler Show. The show ran for two seasons. Handler performed at The Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour at the American embassy following the season. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all aired her stand-up show. In 2010, she was confirmed for the role of host at 2010. MTV Video Music Awards.
